The Samsung Lions escaped three consecutive losses by scoring eight runs in the seventh inning through mega big innings. Samsung manager Park Jin-man welcomed Won Tae-in's pitch, which had a healthy comeback game with the team's batting lineup, which showed concentration in the second half of the game.

Striking a counterattack, Samsung turned the game around at once in the top of the seventh inning. Samsung did not stop. Koo Ja-wook's fly ball to the left field led to the opponent team's catch error with runners on the first and second bases with one out, and he scored additional points. Samsung lost its opponent's fighting spirit with consecutive timely hits by Diaz and Kim Young-woong.

With momentum, Samsung scored additional runs in the top of the eighth inning with Ryu Ji-hyuk's hit to the left and Kim Sung-yoon's RBI triple to the right-center. Lee Jae-hyun's timely hit to the right-center position pushed the team to score 13 points.

Coach Park then rejoiced, saying, "At the beginning of the game, the batting line did not work out well, but in the second half, it led to mass scoring. Batters such as Kim Young-woong, Kim Heon-gon, Ryu Ji-hyuk, and Kim Ji-chan hit good pitches at every important moment, and Yang Yang-geun played a good role in defense by making a double play." 

Samsung, which succeeded in changing the atmosphere by escaping three consecutive losses through a great victory, predicted foreign pitcher Denny Reyes as the starting pitcher against Doosan Bears in Jamsil on the 30th. Reyes suffered a fatigue fracture in his right metatarsal bone during spring camp training, which delayed his preparation for this season. Doosan picked Choi Won-joon, a native Korean pitcher, as its starting pitcher on Tuesday.
